Letter, 1 June 1804, to President [Thomas Jefferson] re legislative approval in South Carolina of the Twelfth Amendment, reporting the Legislature's "ratification of the Amendment proposed by Congress to the Constitution re election of the President and Vice President." Printed address, Oct. 1806, to "the electors of Clarendon County" (S.C.) encouraging them to not be manipulated by others when voting and for a voter to have "the good of his country, at heart, as the first objective of consideration."
